  • Exploring methods to design immersive experiences that evoke specific emotions.
  • Human-computer interaction principles for emotionally impactful extended reality (XR) applications.

Philosophical reflections upon Emotions, beliefs, and Affects in different Realities:

  • New models or experiences on emotions and affect in virtual reality, from aesthetics to philosophy of emotions.
  • Risks and advantages of affective life in extended realities.

Neuroscience and Psychophysiology in Extended Realities:

  • Studying the neural and physiological responses to extended reality environments: from Reality to Stimulative environments
  • Brain-computer interfaces for monitoring and enhancing emotional experiences in XR.

Empathy and Social Presence in Virtual Worlds:

  • Understanding how extended realities can foster empathy and social connections.
  • Examining the impact of avatar design and social cues on emotional engagement.

Therapeutic Applications of Extended Realities:

  • Assessing the use of XR for psychological and emotional therapy.
  • Virtual reality interventions for anxiety, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Ethical Considerations in Emotional XR Experiences:

  • Addressing ethical concerns related to manipulating emotions in virtual environments.
  • Ensuring user well-being and consent in emotionally charged XR scenarios.

Cultural and Cross-Cultural Perspectives in XR Emotions:

  • Investigating how cultural backgrounds influence emotional responses in extended realities.
  • Designing inclusive XR experiences that consider diverse emotional expressions.

Technology and Innovation in Emotional XR:

  • Showcasing cutting-edge technologies that enhance emotional realism in XR.
  • Novel applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in emotional XR.
